Electrosurgery

Electrosurgery uses electrical current to both cut and coagulate skin and tissue at the same time.
This technique is highly effective for removing growths and lesions of all types and sizes, with minimal bleeding during and after the procedure.

What does Electrosurgery treat?

Cherry Angiomas

raised collections of blood vessels

Telangiectasia

networks of small, visible, spider veins

Sebaceous Cysts

enlarged oil glands filled with keratin

Actinic Keratosis

pre-cancerous lesions or basal cell carcinomas

What to Expect

Dr. Arlette performs earlobe reconstruction surgery on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. Incisions are a necessary part of earlobe reconstruction surgery, but care is taken to sew up incisions with tiny sutures so scarring after the procedure is minimal.

    • Electrosurgery is performed on an outpatient basis using a topical numbing cream.
    • The procedure may take just a few minutes to complete, depending on the size of the treatment area.
    • There is no downtime after an electrosurgery treatment, but special products may be recommended to soothe the skin and promote the healing process.

    • Because electrosurgery effectively removes the blemish or lesion, the procedure is considered a permanent solution to backed up oil glands and blood vessels.
    • Additional treatment may be required to maintain positive results.
