Scar Revision

Scar treatment in Calgary.

Scars can sometimes have the ability to negatively affect our self-confidence. If you have a scar that you feel is unsightly, you may be able to improve it though surgical revision with local anaesthesia or through laser solutions.

Why Scar Revision Surgery?

Even though we can never get rid of scars, we can make them less noticeable. Say goodbye to the appearance of scars from burns, accidents, or deep cuts through a simple scar revision surgery in our clinic or with the help of Halo, BBL, or ProFractional laser treatments.

Dramatic Results
Once you’ve received scar revision surgery or laser treatments for scarring, usually you can no longer see the scar and it will be far less noticeable once you’ve received the treatment.

Patients Can Go Home Quickly
Once we’ve finished treating your scars, you can go home shortly after your procedure. Just make sure you arrange for someone to drive you, and pick you up if you received local anesthesia.

How Scar Revision Surgery Works

Usually about a year after the trauma that caused the scarring, your skin has had enough time to heal and a scar revision surgery can be performed. When you come in for your procedure, we’ll remove the scar tissue, then we’ll bring any remaining healthy skin back together to create a smaller scar following your skin’s natural creases. See our laser page for information on our specific laser treatments.
